U2 pull out of Glastonbury
U2 have pulled out of the Glastonbury festival after the main singer, Bono, had to have emergency surgery to avoid the possibility of paralysis. Bono injured himself while preparing for their upcoming tour of the US and following the surgery on Friday he must now recuperate for the next 8 weeks. Bono and the rest of the band are said to be devastated. U2 were due to headline the Glastonbury festival which was due to take place half way through their tour of the US. The organisers are now trying to find a replacement act to headline the festival, however Dizzee Rascal is front runner with him being second on the main stage behind U2. This is not the first time the festival organisers have had to deal with the headline act withdrawing. Kylie Minogue and The Stone Roses have pulled out of the festival in the past due to illness and injury.
